Prabhas’ Kalki 2 And Salaar 2 Shoot Delayed? Actor Signs New Project With Prasanth Varma



Prabhas is shooting back to back for several films and fans are eagerly waiting for him to seen on big screens. But, seems like they have to wait a bit longer as few of his projects are reportedly delayed. Several reports have surfaced that sequels of Kalki and Salaar release might be delayed.

According to a report in Siasat Daily, Prabhas has signed up a new project with Prasanth Varma. Reportedly, the Bahubali star has done a look test and the shooting will begin soon. In regard to this, two of his projects Kalki 2 and Salaar 2 will reportedly take a back seat for a while. This is because Prashanth Neel is currently busy with another film and filming for Salaar 2 will only begin in late 2026. While, Kalki 2298 AD 2 might also be delayed as Deepika Padukone is busy taking care of her daughter Dua. However, the makers of both the film are yet to clarify about delay.

For the unversed, Kalki 2898 AD was released on June 27, 2024, and featured Prabhas, Deepika Padukone Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan among others. While Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire released on December 22, 2023. The film starred Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sriya Reddy, Shruti Haasan, Garuda Ram and Easwari Rao among others.

Prabhas has The Raja Saab, Salaar Part 2, Fauji in the pipeline. The Raja Saab is touted to be a horror comedy and is helmed by Maruthi. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on April 10, 2025. The film stars Niddhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. He also has a cameo appearance in Vishnu Manchu starrer Kannappa. Prabhas also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s project Spirit as well and Kalki 2898 AD part 2.

Moreover, Prabhas had recently suffered an ankle injury and is taking time to recuperate. Post this, he will reportedly be shooting an intense battle scene for Fauji. The intense battle fight scenes will depict the fight of the Razakars against the Nizam rule in Hyderabad.
