Oscars 2025: The red carpet is all set to be rolled out at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles as Hollywood prepares for its biggest awards night. The 97th Academy Awards will take place in the shadow of the devastating LA wildfires, the death of cinema icon Gene Hackman, the tragic passing of Gossip Girl actress Michelle Trachtenberg and the latest shocking revelations about drug abuse in the Matthew Perry death case.

All tragedy aside, the best in cinema will be honoured on March 3 (IST) in 23 categories, ranging from Best Film, Best Actor to Best Director, Best Hairstyling, Best Costume Design and much more. But who all are up for contention at the forthcoming Oscars? Find out.
