Orry Vaishno Devi Drinking Case: On March 17, an FIR was registered against socialite Orhan Awatramani and eight others for consuming alcohol at a hotel premises in Vaishno Devi. A viral video from the hotel room shows the influencer, along with his group enjoying liquor and non-vegetarian food. The hotel administration reported this to the Jammu and Kashmir police, leading to a FIR against the accused. However, the FIR by the J&K police suggests that the hotel authorities deliberately delayed filing the police complaint. Republic Media Network confronted the IT manager of the hotel in the matter.
On March 17, Republic Media Network confronted the IT manager of JW Marriott Resort & Spa, where Orry and his friends stayed. As per reports, the IT manager was the one who first filed the police complaint in the Orry drinking case. However, upon confrontation, he refused to answer any queries.
When asked about the delay in registering the matter with the police, the IT Manager said, “General manager will speak.” Evading the question, the IT manager insisted that he had told the police all he knew in the matter and did not wish to dispose of any other information.
Republic Media Network also spoke to Rashi Dutta, who is one of the eight accused in the Orry Vaishno Devi case. She is named in the FIR filed by the Jammu and Kashmir police but has alleged that she is innocent. Dutta stated, “It was just a coincidence. We were just clicking pictures with a celebrity. I have a one-year-old son, I thought I could get a picture of him with the celebrities.” She added that they were at the hotel to meet a client of her husband’s when she came to know about Orry being there. She added, “People do not know the facts. Just because we are in the photo, does not mean we were involved. I was there, but not with Orry and his friends. I have no idea what was happening there. I am a teetotaler. Hum toh Brahim hai, we do not even eat eggs.” She concluded by saying that Orry and his organisers should be punished but not her.
