One killed in shooting at Patrick Henry Mall in Virginia; suspect detained

One man was killed after a shooting inside a store at Patrick Henry Mall in Virginia on Saturday. Officers were called to the scene around 10:50 am and found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.According to the Newport News Police Department and mall authorities, the investigation is currently underway.A suspect has been detained. According to police, the shooting appears to have stemmed from an altercation between two men, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.Patrick Henry Mall was closed for the rest of the day while investigators examined the scene.
