Mumbai Police Arrests Pritam Chakraborty’s Office Boy Who Stole ₹40 Lakh From Composer

Mumbai police have arrested a man accused of stealing ₹40 lakh from Bollywood composer Pritam Chakraborty’s music studio. The suspect, Ashish Butiram Sayal, 32, worked as an office assistant at the studio and was apprehended in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The theft, reported on February 4, prompted an investigation by Malad police. Although CCTV footage from the studio failed to capture the suspect’s face clearly, officers analysed 150 to 200 CCTV recordings from areas including Kandivali, Malad, Charkop, Versova, Marve Road, Malwani, and Samta Nagar to identify him.
