Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan’s is making headiness not for films, but for her personal life. The Mean Girls actress’ father Michael Lohan has landed in legal soup after he has been arrested for assaulting his estranged wife Kate Major.
According to several reports, Kate Major, estranged wife of Michael Lohan has accused of being physically violent with her. Reportedly, Kate was at for medical appointment when she spotted Michael lurking in the parking lot and summoned the cops. She had filed a reports saying the he has flipped her chair a few days back. She also mentioned pain and discomfort.
As per reports, Michael Lohan is being held on a bond of $30,000 and his spokesperson are yet to to comment on this issue. This is not the first time Michael has landed in an controversy. In 2020, he was was arrested on charges of physical abuse. Few years back, the father of actress Lindsay Lohan was arrested Friday on charges that he illegally took kickbacks for referring patients to a substance abuse treatment centre. For the unversed, Michael Lohan married Kate Major in October 2014. In December 2015, Kate filed for legal separation from Lohan.
In 1990, Lohan was investigated for insider trading and convicted of criminal contempt of court. He was sentenced to three years in jail in Nassau County, and was released in 1993 on five years’ probation.
In 1997, Lohan was arrested when he violated his probation after flying to Napa, California to visit Lindsay, who had been hospitalised for an asthma attack that occurred during the filming of The Parent Trap. He subsequently served a year in prison.
On October 25, 2011, Lohan was arrested in a suspected domestic violence incident in Tampa, Florida, involving his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Kate Major. Lohan was released from custody on $5,000 bail and ordered to have no further contact with Major.
His daughter Lindsay Lohan has been part of several popular Hollywood films including Freaky Friday, The Parent Trap, Irish Wish, Falling For Christmas, Just My luck and Herbie: Fully Loaded among others.
