LIC raises stake in Bank of India to 8.38%


State-owned Life Insurance Corporation of India’s stake in Bank of India has increased to 8.38%.

India’s largest institutional investor, LIC raised stake in the public sector lender from 6.35% in a period of less than four years. It acquired an additional about 2.02% stake through market purchases between September 2, 2021 and May 9, 2025, Bank of India said in a filing on Tuesday. The bank’s shares closed 2.27% higher to ₹112.55 apiece on the BSE.
