L2 Empuraan: Is Mohanlal Starrer Postponed? Prithviraj Sukumaran Stubly Reacts To Rumours

L2: Empuraan Postponed? Reports have been doing the rounds that Prithviraj Sukumaran’s actioner sequel is likely to be postponed. However, the actor has subtly rubbished the rumours by sharing a new poster featuring Mohanlal in a dapper avatar. The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres later this month, which is, March 27.

On Saturday, Prithviraj took to his Instagram handle and shared a poster that shows Mohanlal in an all-black avatar. The text on the poster reads, “At your highest moment… be careful! That’s when… The Devil comes for you!” In the movie, the veteran actor plays a grey character named Khureshi Ab’raam / Stephen Nedumpally. Sharing the poster Prithviraj wrote, “The greatest trick the DEVIL ever pulled..was convincing the world he doesn’t exist!”

Lately, reports suggest that the movie, which has been in the post-production stage, is likely to get delayed owing to financial strain on Lyca Productions. Another report also stated that Mohanlal-led Aashirvad Cinemas is considering removing Lyca Productions and release the movie independently.

Helmed by Prithviraj, the movie stars Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyappan, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, Fazil and Sachin Khedekar in the pivotal roles. The film continues after Mohanlal’s character seizes control as Khureshi-Ab’raam and expands his global empire, facing betrayals, political conspiracies, and enemies from the past. As hidden truths surface, his journey takes an unexpected turn, forcing him into a deadly game of power, revenge, and survival. The film’s music is composed by Deepak Dev, who composed the soundtrack for Lucifer.

It is the second instalment in a planned trilogy, a follow-up to the 2019 film Lucifer.
