Kendall Jenner was once intimidated by Gigi Hadid

Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid have been supermodels and friends for over a decade.

But it was not always so! In a latest joint interview, Jenner revealed how she felt “intimidated” by Hadid before they became friends.

Both Kendall and Gigi grew up in California and though they went to different schools, they got to know each other through mutual friends and Gigi’s youngster sister Bella Hadid. The duo went onto become the best of friends after they started working together in the modelling industry and have been inseparable since.

Recalling the old times, Kendall said she had “acne and braces” back then and was initially overawed by Gigi’s good looks.

“I remember I was intimidated by you. I was like: ‘She’s so gorgeous’. And I remember you posted this photo with your long blond mane. I think it was a black-and-white photo. It went viral on Tumblr … I had acne and braces and I remember seeing this photo and being like: ‘What the f***?'” Jenner said playfully to Hadid.

Gigi, however, revealed that she was also an “awkward” youngster.

“I was your biggest fan,” remembers Kendall. “And once we started to work together and do shows, I remember those early seasons we would do the whole month together.”

Kendall when on: “We’re sisters more than we’re friends.”

“I think of so many of the quiet moments that no one sees. And so much that isn’t shared online. People don’t know a lot of the ways that we’re similar and the ways we find peace in each other,” Gigi concludes.
