Kartik Aaryan, Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn: Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava Box Office Beats 2024 Hits Of All Bollywood Actors But One



Chhaava is performing well at the box office and has emerged as the biggest hit of 2025 in under two weeks of its release. On Wednesday, given the partial holiday of Maha Shivratri, the India collection of the Vicky Kaushal starrer is expected to be touching ₹400 crore mark. Meanwhile, the film based on the life and valour of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, will soon breach the ₹500 crore mark worldwide. Interestingly, Chhaava has also emerged as the second-biggest Bollywood film in the past year, surpassing the collection of all Hindi films but one.

Chhaava box office surpasses Singham Again, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Fighter, Shaitaan and more

Chhaava has surpassed the collections of some of last year’s biggest hits like Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (₹260.11 crore), Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again (₹247.86 crore) and Shaitaan (₹148.21 crore), Hrithik Roshan starrer Fighter (₹212 crore) and more. However, Vicky’s period film is still to beat the numbers of Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 (₹597.99 crore) to claim the crown of the Biggest Bollywood hit in India.

Earlier, on the occasion of the 395th birth anniversary of the Maratha empire founder Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, father of Chhatrapati Sambhaji, Chhaava was declared tax free in Madhya Pradesh and Goa. “The sacrifice of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is an inspiration for people,” Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said while declaring the movie tax free there.
