Jr NTR suffered a shoulder injury a few days ago during an activity on July 27. The actor underwent surgery at KIMS Hospitals in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Following this, the actor penned a note thanking his well-wishers and shared about his health.
Jr NTR shared a note on his X handle revealing that the surgery was successful and that he is doing well. He also thanked his family, friends and fans for supporting and giving him the strength.
“I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and prayers from all of you. The surgery was successful and I’m doing well. My heartfelt gratitude to the amazing team of doctors at KIMS. To my friends, family, and fans; your support gives me strength every single day. See you soon!” he wrote.
Jr NTR has been busy shooting for his next movie Dragon, helmed by Prashanth Neel. Set in the 1960s, an epic action saga chronicles global opium cartel wars. In a leaner frame, Jr NTR, as Luger, plays an assassin in Dragon. About Jr NTR’s transformation for the role, Neel said, “I just told NTR to become a little thinner, but later he became unstoppable. He lost about 15 kilos at one point in time. His wife, mother, friends, and my team were completely upset with me. I asked him to stop many times because he started looking paler and frail. But he never stopped. He said he wanted to achieve something for the story I am writing and what I envisioned.”
The movie is slated to release on June 11, 2027.
