Jennifer Aniston is nervous of Met Gala

Jennifer Aniston—one of the biggest TV and movie stars ever—has never attended Met Gala, fashion’s biggest night!

Ever wondered why the star who has been a regular at the Emmys, the Oscars, the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards, has never been to the Met Gala, the exclusive annual fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute?

In a recent interview, the ‘Friends’ star shared that the thought of posing on and walking those iconic stairs “overwhelms me.”

“It’s the getting ready, the putting on the dress. I’m a ‘jeans and flip-flops and tank top’ kind of girl. I love dressing up too, but for me it’s a mental game of…’ Let’s get dressed up, put on a fancy dress, makeup, get your hair all ‘purdy’ and go sit in a big room with your peers.’ Everyone’s there to celebrate each other and have some fun, but I get nervous,” said Aniston as quoted by a news outlet.

“I even get a little anxious about public speaking, especially over the years of having your words twisted and taken out of context,” the 56-year-old Emmy-winning actor admitted.

Interestingly, Aniston is not alone. Hollywood bigwigs Meryl Streep, Emma Thompson, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Mariah Carey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ryan Gosling, and many more A-listers have never attended the annual gala chaired by Condé Nast Chief Content Office and Vogue Global Editorial Director, Anna Wintour.

On work front, Aniston is set to reprise her award-winning role as Alex Levy in “The Morning Show,” with the fourth season premiering on September 17. Also in the pipeline for the actress is “Horrible Bosses 3”.
