India vs New Zealand Live Score, 5th T20I: New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner opts to field vs India in Hamilton

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 5th T20I: India may look at a few changes to their playing XI when they face New Zealand in the fifth and final T20I on Sunday. Despite taking an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series, the team management will not be happy with the 87-run defeat in Auckland.

The Indian team management has backed its established players throughout the series. However, the heavy defeat in the fourth T20I could lead to some changes as the world champions look to finish the series with a win.

One of the big questions will be whether Vaibhav Sooryavanshi returns to the playing XI. If that happens, Sanju Samson could be the player making way.

Will Sooryavanshi replace Samson?

Samson has received backing from the team management, but his performances in the series have been inconsistent.

After scoring 67 in the opening match, the wicketkeeper-batter has managed scores of 14, 18 and four in his next three innings.

The team management could consider giving him a break and bringing back Sooryavanshi, who has already shown what he can do at the top of the order.

The youngster got opportunities in the second and third T20Is after Ishan Kishan was ruled out due to injury. However, he made way for Kishan when the latter returned to the team.
