Indian cricket witnessed a rare slice of history on Saturday as three of its batters – Shubman Gill, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja – crossed the 500-run mark in the same Test series. This is the first time any Indian trio has achieved this feat in a single Test series, and it has come during the gripping 2025 Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy in England. Shubman Gill led from the front, both as captain and batter. He finished the series with 754 runs in 10 innings at a brilliant average of 75.40, including a career-best 269.

KL Rahul, opening the innings, stood tall in testing conditions to score 532 runs at an average of 53.20. His effort included hours of battling the new ball, facing over 1000 deliveries across the five Tests. On Day 3 of the final Test at The Oval, Ravindra Jadeja became the third to join the 500-run club. Batting in the last session before getting dismissed for 53, he took his tally to 516 runs at a staggering average of 86.00 for the series.
