Tamil actress Shruthi Narayan recently made headlines after her casting couch video leaked online. However, many media outlets mistook her for Shruti Narayann, the Citadel: Honey Bunny actress, and used her images and work while reporting the news. Now, Shruti herself has issued a statement clarifying that she is not the actress whose video has been leaked. “I am Shruti Narayann, a Mumbai-based model/actor, who has acted in Citadel: Honey Bunny. Some media outlets have been using my image and profile in a story about a Tamil serial actress whose adult video has gone viral. Media should do a minimum level of diligence on whom they are reporting and not drag unrelated people into controversies,” read the statement.
Objectional videos of Tamil TV actress Shruthi Narayan, 24, leaked online. After this controversy snowballed, many media houses mistook her for the Citadel actress and used her work to identify the actress. To clear the confusion, the actress in the news over her leaked video has worked in a Tamil-language show, Siragadikka Aasai.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Shruthi penned a long note hinting that the alleged private video was not hers but was created using AI. In the post, she urged the netizens to not spread such videos as it’s hurting her and her family. She wrote, “For you guys, spreading all these contents on me it’s just a joke and fun content. But for me and my close ones this is a very hard situations for us. Especially for me it is a very difficult time, and it’s a difficult situation to handle it.”
“I’m also a girl and I also have feeling and my close ones also have feeling and you guys just make it worse and worse,” she continued.
The actress concluded by saying, “I humbly request you all to not spread everything like wild fire and if it in case go see the videos for your mother or sister or girlfriend because they are also girls and they also have the same bodies like me so go and enjoy their videos.”
Shruthi has also featured in the show Karthigai Deepam (2022).
