IIFA Awards 2025: When And Where To Watch Full Ceremony On TV

The International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2025 hosted its 25th edition in Rajasthan’s Jaipur last weekend. It was a two-day event, marking the award ceremony’s silver jubilee. The event witnessed the who’s who of Bollywood, including Madhuri Dixit, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor. The show paid tribute to legendary actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor on his 100 years in cinema. Now, those who couldn’t watch the ceremony in Jaipur can witness it on TV.

This year, IIFA Awards will broadcast on ZeeTV at 8 PM on March 16. Announcing the same, the official Instagram handle shared a post and wrote in the caption, “With glam, fam and sass, IIFA Awards 2025 is set to dazzle! Are you ready to celebrate 25 years of IIFA? Watch IIFA Awards 2025 on March 16th, Sunday, at 8 PM, only on #ZeeTV.”

The big winner of the night was Laapataa Ladies with 10 awards in their bag. It was followed by Kartik Aaryan and Nitanshi Goel’s big win. In a surprise takeaway, Raghav Juyal won for his impressive Negative Role in Kill, whereas Lakshya Lalwani won the Best Debut (Male). No bigwigs made the cut in the winner list.

Sonu Nigam’s song Mere Dholna 2.0 was among the many chartbusters of the previous year. Despite the overwhelming reception of the song, the singer did not receive a nomination for it or for any other playback song of the year at IIFA 2025. This did not sit well with him and he took to his Instagram account to pen a note for the same after the event was concluded.

Blaming it on politics, the singer wrote in the caption, “Thank you IIFA… After all, you were answerable to the Rajasthan bureaucracy.” Soon after the post, fans of the singer took to the comment section to rally in support of him.

The issue came to light after Sonu Nigam lashed out at the Rajasthan Chief Minister for walking out of his performance midway. Three months ago, the singer stated how he felt disrespected when CM Bhajan Lal Sharma and other Ministers walked out of his concert in Jaipur. Since the IIFA awards were happening in Jaipur, Sonu linked the issue to that.
