Honey Singh Calls Justin Bieber ‘Gay’ In Old, Controversial Video – Netizens Say ‘ You Lost All Respect…’

Singer and songwriter Yo Yo Honey Singh continues to remain in controversy. Honey, who was away from the music industry for close to 8 years between 2014 and 2024, has recently made a comeback with the release of his album Glory last year. He is currently on his Millionaire India tour, with upcoming shows planned across Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Jaipur and Chandigarh.

Meanwhile, a video of Honey Singh has been going viral on social media in which he was referring to Justin Bieber as gay.  “And you know that Justin Bieber, girls he is so gay,” Honey Singh can be heard saying in the old, now-resurfaced video. Many disagreed with Honey Singh’s comments and called him “homophobic” and “insensitive”.

Most recently, actress Neetu Chandra has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Patna High Court against singer Yo Yo Honey Singh’s latest song Maniac, citing concerns over alleged vulgarity in its lyrics and visuals. The petition, expected to be heard later this month, also names lyricist Leo Grewal and Bhojpuri singers Ragini Vishwakarma and Arjun Ajanabi.

Neetu, who has worked in Bollywood as well as regional cinema, requested the court to direct the respondents to modify the song’s lyrics. She argues that Maniac “portrays overt sexualisation,” reducing women to mere objects of desire. Furthermore, she also accused the track of misrepresenting the Bhojpuri language by using it to “normalise vulgarity” and throws “women’s empowerment out of the window”.

Back in 2012, the rapper was slapped with an FIR in Lucknow against for his song, allegedly filled with abusive language against women. The FIR was filed under Sections 292, 293, and 294 of the Indian Penal Code.
