New Delhi: SS Rajamouli’s next movie starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Prithviraj Sukumaran has been creating massive anticipation. Now, the title of the film has been revealed. The announcement was made at a massive fan event in Hyderabad at Ramoji Film City, where around 50,000 attendees had gathered. The event was also live-streamed on JioHotstar.
The movie’s name is Varanasi.
The event, hosted by YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani and popular Telugu presenter Suma Kanakala, finally unveiled Mahesh Babu’s much-awaited first look. The actor made a dramatic entry on a massive bull for Varanasi.

Mahesh Babu is seen wielding a trishul while riding a charging bull down a dusty road, with towering temples framing the backdrop. The clip concludes with the title Varanasi appearing on screen.
The film’s teaser was showcased on a massive 130 ft x 100 ft screen. Earlier, the makers had revealed character posters introducing Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Mandakini and Prithviraj Sukumaran as Kumbha.
In a tweet on Saturday, Rajamouli confirmed, “The title of the film will be revealed along with a visual to the world… Once it airs on the big screen at the #GlobeTrotter event, we will make it live online.”
Globetrotter Event
According to a report by IANS, industry sources said, “The Grand Globetrotter Event on November 15 is shaping into a cultural moment in itself. The scale being planned is unlike anything the industry has attempted; we are looking at over 50,000 fans gathering under one roof. It will be the biggest-ever stage and screen in films across the world, with a 100 ft height and a 130 ft wide screen.”
“With Prithviraj’s powerful first look as Kumbha setting the internet ablaze and excitement rising by the hour, the event is now gearing up for a movie announcement that the country is looking forward to. The magnitude, energy, and build-up are unprecedented, turning this into one of the biggest events ever mounted in Indian entertainment.”

About Varanasi
Varanasi is SS Rajamouli’s next film after the 2022 hit RRR, which received global acclaim. The film even won an Oscar for the song Naatu Naatu, composed by MM Keeravaani with lyrics by Chandrabose.
Varanasi stars Mahesh Babu in the lead, with Priyanka Chopra Jonas playing Mandakini and Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the antagonist, Kumbha.
Although the movie’s puja was conducted in January, more details of the project were kept under wraps.
Unlike Rajamouli’s previous films, he did not hold a press meet to discuss the synopsis. Shooting took place in Kenya, as well as in Odisha and Hyderabad in India.
