Earlier this year, AR Rahman and his wife Saira Banu shocked everyone by ending their 29-year marriage. More recently, rumours swirled about Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja allegedly filing for divorce after 37 years of staying together.
Although the couple dismissed the speculation within days. Over the years, celebrities like Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, as well as Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora, have ended their dreamy wedding. However, one couple’s divorce remains in talks due to being one of the most expensive in India.
Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan divorced in 2014, reportedly making it one of India’s costliest divorces, with an alimony of ₹380 crore. Married in 2000, they ended their 14-year union amicably.
While media speculated about reasons, including alleged infidelities, both have chosen to remain silent about the details. Despite their separation, they continue to co-parent their two sons without animosity and appear to hold no grudges.
Other than them, one of Bollywood’s most discussed divorces is that of Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur. The couple married in 2006 but decided to part ways in 2016. They settled their separation legally, with reports stating that Karisma received a luxurious house and ₹70 crore as alimony.
