Dragon OTT Release: Final Box Office Collection Of Pradeep Ranganathan Starrer As It Premieres On Netflix



Dragon OTT Release: Biggest Tamil hit of 2025 so far, Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon has premiered on Netflix a month after its theatrical release and commercial success. It is the actor-director’s biggest hit after Love Today, which was also remade in Hindi as Loveyapa, starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor. With Dragon, Pradeep has staked his claim as one of the most promising talents in the Indian film industry.

Dragon is expected to replicate its successful theatrical run on OTT and garner good viewership on Netflix. Here’s how much the film was collected at the Tamil and Telugu box office.

Dragon beats Ajith’s Vidaamuyarchi to become the biggest Tamil hit of 2025 so far

Dragon released on the big screens on February 21. Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, the rom-com features Kayadu Lohar opposite Pradeep. The movie received rave reviews from the audiences and critics and was able to rule at the box office throughout its run as it faced no opposition from any new releases.

In Tamil, Dragon minted ₹81.01 crore in 28 days and ₹18.56 crore in Telugu, taking its domestic collection closer to ₹100 crore. The Telugu version Return of the Dragon also emerged successful, collecting more than Pradeep’s previous Love Today in Telugu states. its overseas biz stood at ₹31 crore and the worldwide collection touched ₹150 crore, making it an all-time blockbuster from Kollywood. Reportedly, the film’s budget is ₹35 crore.

Dragon is streaming on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada, along with English subtitles. Anupama Parameswaran and Kayadu Lohar play the female leads in the movie, with Tamil directors Gautham Vasudev Menon and Mysskin also cast in pivotal roles. Leon James has composed the background score.
