Dragon Box Office Collection Day 2: Pradeep Ranganathan’s Tamil Movie Shows Upward Trend On First Weekend

Dragon Box Office Collection Day 2: Pradeep Ranganathan’s comedy film Dragon released on February 21 has become a box office hit leaving Dhanush’s directorial film Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK) way back in the race. As expected, the film earned a whopping ₹5.75 crore net in Tamil Nadu on its opening day. It surpassed these figures on the first Saturday of the weekend and shows no signs of slowing down on Sunday.

According to Sacnilk, Dragon has earned ₹16.75 crore at the box office. The Tamil film’s revenue spiked on its second day, with ₹10.25 crore collected, following over ₹6 crore on the first day. It is expected to earn more during the weekend and the coming week.

Although competing with Dhanush’s directorial debut Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), which had a decent opening, Dragon has exceeded the expectations of the audience and box office as well.

As per sacnilk, Dragon earned ₹15.4 crores worldwide on its second day, following ₹11.2 crores on its opening day, making it the highest-grossing film by a rising new hero. Notably, this is only his second film.

In Tamil Nadu, Dragon collected ₹10.25 crore on its second day, contributing to a total of ₹26.6 crore so far, with ₹16 crore coming from Tamil Nadu alone. As it’s the weekend, the film’s box office earnings are expected to increase further. The movie stars Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, and Gautham Vasudev Menon in major roles.
