DPL 2025: Ugly brawl breaks out; Lady umpire intervenes - Watch

A heated clash erupted in the Delhi Premier League eliminator between West Delhi Lionz and South Delhi Superstarz after the dismissal of Krish Yadav. The incident occurred when Yadav attempted to hit Aman Bharti for a six over long-off but was caught by Anmol Sharma near the boundary. What followed was a furious exchange, with players from both sides pushing and shoving as tempers flared. South Delhi’s Sumit Mathur, bowler Aman Bharti, and batter Krish Yadav were at the centre of the altercation. The umpire had to step in and intervene to bring the situation under control, while other players rushed to diffuse the tension. Batting first, South Delhi Superstarz posted 201/5 in 20 overs. In reply, West Delhi Lionz were standing at 118 when Yadav’s wicket triggered the ugly scenes.

Earlier in the innings, West Delhi captain Nitish Rana led from the front with a half-century, steering his side towards the chase. Rana remained unbeaten and looked well set for a century before the clash broke out. The on-field scuffle overshadowed what was progressing as an important eliminator. The league authorities are yet to make an official comment on the incident and take further action if necessary.Ahead of the heated moment, there was another altercation which involved Digvesh Rathi and Nitish Rana.
