Deb Mukherjee’s Prayer Meet: Vicky Kaushal, Aditya Roy, Ranbir Kapoor Arrive To Pay Last Respects To Ayan Mukeerji’s Father



Deb Mukherjee’s Prayer Meet: Ayan Mukerji’s father passed away on March 14 at the age of 83. He was hospitalised earlier as he was unwell for quite some time. His last rites took place at the Pawan Hans crematorium and several members of the film fraternity were in attendance for the same. Days after the tragedy, the family organised a prayer meeting today and the filmmaker was spotted arriving. Friends, family, and well-wishers have come together to share their grief.

As of the photos coming in Vicky Kaushal, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ranbir Kapoor , Arjun Bijlani and more are spotted arriving at the venue. In the video, shared by paps, Ayan is seen arriving in the car and avoiding the camera. 

Deb Mukherjee was part of the famous Mukherjee-Samarth family. His father was Sashadhar Mukherjee, the owner of Filmalaya Studios, who produced the 1960 film Love in Shimla. His mother, Satidevi Mukherjee, was the only sister of Ashok Kumar, Anup Kumar and Kishore Kumar. His brothers were Joy Mukherjee, a successful actor in the 1960s and Shomu Mukherjee, the husband of actress Tanuja. His nieces are actresses Kajol and Tanisha. Other members of his family include Rani Mukerji and Sharbani Mukherjee.

He has been part of several films including Aansoo Ban Gaye Phool, Adhikar, Zindagi Zindagi, Baaton Baaton Mein, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander and Aasoo Bane Angaarey among others. The veteran actor was last seen in Shahid Kapoor starrer Kaminey. In the 2009 actioner, he played the role of Mujeeb.
