DC Box Office Collection: Lokesh Kanagaraj and Wamiqa Gabbi’s actioner performed well in the first week of release. The film opened at ₹4.40 crore and over the weekend, it witnessed a spike in the collection. The positive word of mouth helped the film’s business, and it didn’t see a major decline the following days. The film was able to surpass the ₹40 crore mark, despite witnessing a drop on Thursday.
The film marks a significant milestone for Lokesh, who has earned widespread recognition as the director of films including Maanagaram, Kaithi, Master, Vikram, Leo and Coolie. Critics and the audience are praising Lokesh’s performance.
According to Sacnilk, the film witnessed a drop of 35.7 per cent from yesterday, earning ₹3.90 crore across 4611 shows on the seventh day of release. This brings the net total to ₹41.65 crore and gross total to ₹47.88 crore.
Overseas, the film collected ₹1 crore, taking its gross total to ₹16.50 crore.
Adding domestic and overseas collections, the worldwide total stands at ₹64.38 crore.
DC registered 28.69 per cent overall Tamil occupancy on Thursday, with maximum reported in Kochi (46 per cent).
Helmed by Arun Matheswaran, the film also stars Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Thalaivasal Vijay and Kasthuri Raja in pivotal roles.
Lokesh and Wamiqa starrer is enjoying its theatrical run since the day of its release. According to a 123Telugu report, Sun NXT has acquired the digital rights of the movie, and as per the South cinema guidelines, the film can release on OTT after a 4-week theatrical run. Hence, it is believed it will stream on OTT in early September 2026.
