Chhaava Vs Stree 2 Box Office: Day-Wise Comparison Of Maddock Films’ Biggest Hits Starring Vicky Kaushal And Shraddha Kapoor

Chhaava Vs Stree 2 Box Office: Two different genres and Maddock Films has struck gold at the box office for the second time in the past six months. After Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 became a record-setting Bollywood blockbuster, only to be overthrown by Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, the production house has got another hit in its kitty with Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama Chhaava. How have the two films fared at the box office, let’s find out.

Stree 2 had a bigger start than Chhaava at the box office and led in its first week, but the tables turned in the second weekend, which proved to be more profitable for the film based on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and his clash with Aurangzeb. While Stree 2 minted ₹291.65 crore in its extended first week (8 days), with collections witnessing further boost due to paid previews, Chhaava ruled in the second weekend and outperformed the horror comedy featuring Shraddha and Rajkummar.

In the 2nd weekend, Chhaava minted a record-breaking ₹107 crore, Stree 2 raked in a little more than ₹92 crore. In 10 days, Stree 2 stands ahead with ₹383 crore while Chhaava has collected ₹326 crore so far at the domestic box office.

Chhaava collection on Sunday, February 23 suffered due to the India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy match. The film, already doing well, was expected to collect close to ₹50 crore or more, but the big cricket clash proved to be a major hurdle.

It remains to be seen if Stree 2 remains the biggest grosser for the production house or Chhaava takes its place.
