Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 8: Vicky Kaushal Starrer Nears ₹250 Crore Mark, Surpasses ₹300 Crore Mark Worldwide



Chhaava Box Office Collection Week 2: Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna are basking in the success of their periodic drama. The movie ruled the box office in the opening week and now on the second Friday, the collection has witnessed a hike from Thursday. The movie concluded its first week run by minting ₹219.75 crore in India. Now, it is eyeing to earn at least over ₹300 crore in the second week.

On the second Friday, Laxman Utekar‘s directorial grossed ₹23.5 crore at the box office, early estimates reported by Sacnilk. Adding the 8-day collection, the total stands at ₹242.75 crore at the box office in India. Chhaava had an overall 29.92 per cent Hindi occupancy on Friday with a maximum reported in Pune at 53.25 per cent. The movie has become the first Indian movie to achieve this milestone in 2025, so far.

Not just in India, the movie is also creating a wave overseas. On the eighth day, the movie minted ₹48 crore at the box office overseas. Adding overseas and India’s collection, the movie has surpassed ₹300 crore mark and minted ₹338.75 crore at the box office worldwide.

Speaking at the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in New Delhi on Friday, Modi highlighted how the movie has been appreciated across the country. He spoke about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s bravery and said, “Ye Maharashtra aur Mumbai hi hai jisne Marathi filmon ke saath-saath, Hindi cinema ko ye unchai di hai. Aur in dino toh, Chhaava ki dhoom machi hui hai. (It is Maharashtra and Mumbai that have elevated Hindi cinema along with Marathi films. And these days, Chhaava is making waves.)”

He further said it is through Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel that everyone has been introduced to the valour of Sambhaji Maharaj in this form.

Apart from Vicky, the movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles.
