Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 19: Vicky Kaushal Starrer Slows Down Before ₹500 Crore Mark, Daily Biz Falls To ₹5 Crore

Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 19: Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava, which is based on the life and valour of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has finally slowed down at the box office after its triumphant run for over the first two weeks. On its third Tuesday, the film minted a little over ₹5.5 crore, according to early estimates, taking its India biz in 19 days to ₹472.00 crore. Chhaava has become the 11th highest-grossing Indian film of all time and is eyeing a spot in the top 10.

On its third Monday and Tuesday, the collections of the historical period drama fell below the ₹10 crore mark for the first time. On March 3 and 4, the film collected ₹7.75 crore and ₹5.5 crore respectively. At this pace, it will be interesting to witness when Chhaava will breach the ₹500 crore mark in India. According to its theatrical run so far, it should do so by the end of its fourth weekend.

Chhaava is also set to release in Telugu on March 7. The makers have planned to premiere the dubbed version of the movie after its record-breaking run in Hindi belts. The presence of Rashmika Mandanna in the movie and the film’s themes of sacrifice and courage are certain to ring true among the movie-going audience in the South.

Additionally, Chhaava has outperformed other major releases such as Baahubali 2 (Hindi, 2017), 2.0 (2018) and Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (Hindi, 2023) at the box office.

Apart from Vicky, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb and Vineet Kumar Singh as Kavi Kalash.
