The grand finale of the reality show Bigg Boss 18 took place on January 18. Karan Veer Mehra has finally lifted the winner’s trophy for Bigg Boss 18. He and first runner-up Vivian Dsena made it to the finale after a long, tedious, and challenging journey of 105 days inside the Bigg Boss 18 house. But, the winner of he show recently made a shocking revelation, that he is yet to receive his cash prize.
Karan Veer Mehra on not yet-to-receive Bigg Boss 18 winner cash prize: I don’t intend to leave this channel
In an interview with Bharti Singh’s podcast Karan Veer Mehra spoke admitted that he is yet to get the amount. He spoke about his first reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, “Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 was my first show with Colors. Now I don’t intend to leave this channel. Colors makes you a name. 50 lakhs is the winning amount for Bigg Boss 18 and it’s yet to come. Khatron Ke Khiladi 14’s money has come, and the car that I won is going to arrive in a few days. I didn’t get the chance earlier, so I got it booked now.”
Karan further said, “It was all God’s plan. Everyone has contributed in some way to my victory. I was having fun inside and wasn’t looking to win. My weekly total was sorted, so winning or losing didn’t matter much. It’s a personality show, and mine appealed to the audience. It’s not about being more or less. Even if I came second, I wouldn’t have been a different person. I felt for a while that I was going to win. The love I am getting after Bigg Boss is too overwhelming. I am spending a lot of time with fans, especially the aunties who have been blessing me a lot.”
For the unversed, Bigg Boss commenced with 23 housemates including Shilpa Shirodkar, Chahat Pandey, Kashish Kapoor, Sara Arfeen Khan, Arfeen Khan, Digvijay Singh Rathee, Edin Rose, Yamini Malhotra, Aditi Mistry, Alice Kaushik, Muskan Bamne, Tajinder Bagga, Shehzada Dhami, Nyrraa Banerjee, Hema Sharma, and Gunratan Sadavarte. Rajat Dalal, Vivian Dsena, Karan Veer Mehra, Chum Darang, Avinash Mishra, and Eisha Singh were the top 6 contenders this season.
Karan Veer Mehra is a TV actor who has been part of shows including Remix, Sati, Shanno Ki Shaadi, Pari Hoon Main, Hum Ladkiyan, Virrudh, Behenein and Surya–The Super Cop among others. He has also worked in films including Drona, Love Story 2050 and Choices among others.
He has also written concepts and acted for the YouTube series Superb Ideas Trending (SIT) and produced Couple of Mistakes. Karan recently made his relationship official with Chum Darang. The couple even celebrated Valentine’s Day together and posted several cosy pictures and videos on social media.
