Anupam Kher Takes A Wicket At Thrilling T20 Match, Fans Surprised Seeing 70-Year-Old Actor’s Skills



The TB Mukt Bharat Awareness Cricket Match in Mumbai became a star-studded event, bringing together Bollywood celebrities, politicians, and sports personalities for a noble cause. The event was held at the MCA Cricket Ground in Bandra Kurla Complex on March 22. The match showcased an exciting face-off between Anurag Thakur’s team and Suniel Shetty’s team. Anupam Kher shared a glimpse of the memorable match and surprised many with his skills.

Anupam Kher, who actively took part in the match, shared a video on Instagram and X(Formerly Twitter) where he celebrated taking a wicket at a star-studded T20 match. In the video, the 70-year-old actor bowls an off-spin delivery, which the batsman tries to hit for a boundary but ends up being caught out.

“I took a WICKET: Played a friendly #CricketMatch between #Netas and #Abhinetas to promote awareness about #Tuberculosis (TB) in India! Thank you to the dearest #Anurag Thakur and #SunielShetty, the organisers, and players of both teams for giving me an opportunity to be part of this important cause! That was, by the way, an off-spin delivery which the batsman wanted to hit for a four but got caught! Showing off another side of my talent! Jai Ho! #Cricket,” he wrote on Instagram.

Anupam Kher, Rohit Shetty, Suniel Shetty, Anurag Thakur, Jackie Shroff, Sudeep Kiccha, and Krushna Abhishek attended the event alongside many other celebrities. On the acting front, Kher recently appeared in Vijay 69, directed by Akshay Roy. The YRF Entertainment film premiered on Netflix on November 8 last year.
