Claude maker’s annualised revenue jumps sharply from $47 billion in May and about $9 billion at the end of 2025, highlighting the explosive growth of AI demand
Anthropic’s annual revenue run rate has crossed $65 billion, according to a person familiar with the matter, underscoring the rapid growth of the Claude maker as it prepares for a potential public listing later this year.
The latest figure, shared with investors as part of the company’s ongoing financial updates, marks a sharp increase from the $47 billion revenue run rate reported in May and an extraordinary rise from around $9 billion at the end of 2025.
A revenue run rate is an annualised measure that projects a company’s yearly revenue based on its current sales pace. It does not represent actual revenue generated over a full year.
Anthropic is also projecting revenue of roughly $190 billion to $200 billion by 2028, Reuters reported earlier, with those forecasts expected to play a key role in determining the valuation of a potential initial public offering.
The company has emerged as one of the leading players in the increasingly competitive generative AI market, with its Claude coding agent gaining traction among developers and helping drive demand from enterprise customers.
Anthropic confidentially filed for an IPO earlier this year, according to Reuters, as it and rival OpenAI explore public-market debuts amid strong investor appetite for artificial intelligence companies.
The startup’s valuation has also surged rapidly. Anthropic was valued at about $965 billion in May after raising $65 billion in its Series H funding round, more than double its $380 billion valuation in February.
The latest revenue figure highlights the extraordinary pace at which leading AI companies are scaling, as enterprise adoption of AI tools and demand for advanced coding and productivity systems accelerate.
