Ananya Panday has come a long way in her career and made her own space in OTT. Although the CTRL actress has faced heavy trolling for her acting, she is now finding her footing in the industry. Recently, she shared her thoughts on her dream role and even admitted that she might not be able to pull that off.
In a recent interview with Vogue India, Ananya Panday opened up about her dream role, “I would love to star in a biopic. I enjoy watching actors play Princess Diana on screen, like in The Crown (2016-2023) or Spencer (2021). It’s fascinating how there are multiple ways in which you can portray one character with their shades, opinions and personalities feeding off each other on screen.” Call me bae actress further said, “ I don’t think I’ll ever be able to do it, but I like the idea of playing yesteryear actors from the ’50s and ’60s like Madhubala, Meena Kumari and Waheeda Rehman.”
Ananya Panday will be soon seen with Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan starrer film Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh. The film was announced in 2024. Produced by Dharma Productions, the film tells the story of lawyer C. Sankaran Nair, who led a remarkable fight against the British Empire in the 1920s following the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
Initially scheduled for release on March 14, 2025, but it has now been pushed to April 18, 2025. The film is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and inspired by the book The Case That Shook the Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat.
