TV actress Aditi Sharma made the news after rumours of her divorcing husband Abhineet Kaushik after 6 months of marriage went viral. In an interview with a portal, her husband levelled cheating and domestic abuse allegations against her. Now, days later, the Apollena – Sapno Ki Unchi Udaan actress has broken her silence and claimed that “domestic abuse was not from my side”. However, she refrained from giving more information regarding her separation as the case is sub-judice.
In an interview with India Forums, Aditi narrated her side of the ordeal and said that right after a month of getting married, she was facing “unbearable marital disputes.” She continued, “I was facing a lot of misbehaviour and other things which I cannot disclose right now because that is going to go ahead in the court… that is why I sought separation, and I wanted it very peacefully. Both families talked and decided that we should separate amicably.”
She further revealed that Abhineet disrespected her and her family in front of their friends multiple times. The domestic abuse was not from her side and she genuinely loved her. The actress refrained from speaking further as she was bound by her lawyers not to speak about the matter. She added by saying, “I am going to speak the truth and not hide anything.”
Addressing the claims made by her estranged husband that they had a secret wedding and that she pressured him into getting married, the actress said that the claims are false. She clarified that it was not secret but a private wedding with their families, relatives and close friends in attendance. “It was not a secret thing, but it was private. I have a decent career, and we thought it wouldn’t be wise to suddenly put it out in public right now as I was also shooting for Apollena at that time, and my character in the show was of an 18-year-old girl. So both of us decided to not disclose it publicly,” she concluded.
Aditi Sharma made her acting debut in 2018 and is best known for her shows Kaleerein, Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka and Rabb Se Hai Dua. She has also participated in the stunt-based reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 14.
