Kris Srikanth believes CSK 'will do very well' in IPL 2025

Five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will try to add another title to their kitty when they begin their campaign in the 2025 season against fellow five-time winners Mumbai Indians (MI) this Sunday at home in Chennai, as former India captain Krishnamachari Srikkanth predicted another successful season for CSK.
“Chennai Super Kings will do very well…The opening match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings is going to be a great match. It will be a great and exciting season,” Krishnamachari Srikkanth said, speaking to ANI.

The significance of this fixture extends beyond the tournament itself, marking MS Dhoni’s return to the field for another season of the cash-rich league. The 43-year-old former India captain, who retired from international cricket in August 2020, continues to play in the IPL.
MI, meanwhile, would want to begin the tournament on a winning note, as they hope to leave a forgettable 2024 edition behind.
MI, under their new captain Hardik Pandya, finished last in the previous season.
