NSA Of India Ajit Doval’s Biopic Soon? John Abraham Responds To Arnab Goswami’s Suggestion | WATCH



John Abraham plays the role of an emissary in his latest The Diplomat. The film, based on real-life incidents, hit the big screens on Mach 14. Ahead of the release, the actor met with the Minister of External Affairs of India S, Jaishankar in the National Capital and called him the ‘poster boy of India’, in a candid conversation with Republic Media Network’s Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami. In the same conversation, John Abraham also reflected on the idea of making a movie on the National Security Advisor of India – Ajit Doval.

In an exclusive conversation, John Abraham spoke about the insights of the Indian diplomacy and intelligence he gained while working on The Diplomat. Seeing his interest in national affairs, Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami then suggested he meet with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. He said, “He is the man and one day a great movie should be made about him. because what he has done for the country, the risks he has taken, not just in the field of intelligence  or counterintelligence but in terms of his personal life.”

Agreeing with him, John added, “I nearly got an audience with him recently because I wanted to study a little more.” Arnab shared that Ajith Doval is a ‘man with many stories’ to which the actor stressed that he hopes to meet him soon.

Drawing from his character in the film The Diplomat, John Abraham said, “I love diplomacy, love watching EAM Dr S Jaishankar talking, wherever he talks, he’s the poster boy of India. We all are light up, so I read it (the script), liked it and that’s the reason why I did it…” When asked by Arnab as to what John’s ‘endgame’ would be, the actor humorously and respectfully replied, “to take over from S Jaishankar.”

Interestingly, John Abraham mentioned that meeting with Jaishankar would be like a ‘fan-boy moment’ for him. He also added that he had shown the trailer of the film to the EAM and he ‘loved it’. Before the release of The Diplomat, John Abraham met with S. Jaishankar in the National Capital.
