Zydus Lifesciences to acquire Amplitude Surgical for €257 mn


Zydus Lifesciences Ltd. on Tuesday said it has entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire a majority stake in France-based Amplitude Surgical for €256.8 million. “The acquisition price represents an 80.6% premium over the last closing price as on 10 March 2025 and premia of 88.2% and 92.2% over the 3-month and 6-month volume-weighted average price of Amplitude Surgical respectively” the Ahmedabad-based drug maker said in a statement.

Amplitude Surgical is a European MedTech leader in high-quality, lower-limb orthopaedic technologies. It provides numerous value-added innovations to best meet the needs of patients, surgeons and healthcare facilities.

Sharvil Patel, Managing Director, Zydus Lifesciences Ltd., said: “We believe this was a natural extension in the field of medical technology. In Amplitude Surgical, we see several medium-term and long-term growth opportunities with respect to portfolio, capabilities, manufacturing and geographies.”
