Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are among Bollywood’s most adored couples and recently embraced parenthood in September 2024 they welcomed their little daughter Dua. In a recent conversation, she opened up about her parenting journey and beauty secrets.

In an interview with Forbes, Deepika Padukone said, “When will my baby stop spitting up? Moreover, Deepika revealed that she would simply sleep, get a massage, stay hydrated, spend time with her baby, and relax in her pyjamas.

In addition, Deepika jokingly advised them to “at least pretend to be comfortable” if they must wear tight outfits. The actress said  if she weren’t an actor, she would have pursued a career in interior design.

On November 1 last year, a day after Diwali , Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh shared the first glimpse of their baby girl. While they did not reveal the face of their daughter, they shared her name – Dua Padukone Singh. Explaining the meaning in the caption, the actors wrote, “Dua Padukone Singh | दुआ पादुकोण सिंह  Dua : meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers.”

Dua literally translates to prayer and can signify someone who is blessed. The origin of the name is Arabic, as per some sites. In Albanian, the name also means Love. In India, it typically means, “invocation good wish”.

Ranveer and Deepika began their relationship on the set of their blockbuster film Ram Leela in 2013 and tied the knot in 2018 in an intimate wedding ceremony at Lake Como, Italy. The actress announced her pregnancy earlier this year. Rumours about Deepika expecting her first child began circulating on social media after she was photographed covering her midsection at the 77th BAFTA Awards, where she appeared as a presenter.
