Murmur X Review: Netizens Deem Aria Selvaraj Starrer ‘One Of The Scariest Films In Recent Times’



Murmur released in cinemas on March 7. The Tamil Supernatural flick is receiving great reviews from audience as well as critics. While, many took to social media and took to social media to give their verdict.

One social media user wrote, “Extremely positive response from Press show fro #MURMUR. Dare to say it out loud: #Kabhokabhakabisthu!”.

Another social media user wrote, “TAMIL CINEMA’S FIRST FOUND FOOTAGE HORROR FILM”.

“She’s watching. She’s waiting. She’s NEVER letting go. Dare to say it loud”, wrote the third user. Another user too wrote, “This is by far one of the scariest films in recent times.”

Trade Analyst Ramesh Bala too reviewed the film and wrote, “#MURMUR [3.5/5] :  Tamil cinema’s first-ever Found Footage Horror Film. A group of YouTubers (2 Men and 2 Women) along with a local girl go to a forest where supernatural activities happen.. Few days later, they disappear and their video footage was found. Several scenes are really scary.. Atmospheric thrills.. Great sound design.. Good work by Director @Hemnathnarayana. If you are a fan of horror movies, you will certainly like it!

Murmur is helmed and written by Hemanth Narayan, while the film is produced by Prabhakaran S.  Cinematographer for movie is Jason Williams, Editor is Rohit V, Hasini Pavithra while Kewyn Frederick is a sound designer. The YouTubers feature Melvin (Devraj), Rishi (Richie Kapoor), Ankitha (Suganya) and Jenifer (Aria) who, accompanied by local guide Kaantha (Yuvikha).

The tells the story of a group of Chennai-based paranormal YouTubers ventures into a cursed forest to document real-time encounters with the “Seven Saptha Kannigal” and a vengeful spirit. When they mysteriously go missing, the police discover only their broken cameras containing eerie footage. Murmur unfolds through this chilling recorded evidence, revealing the terrifying events that transpired.
