A 24-year-old woman was fatally stabbed and a man in his 20s was injured during a violent incident at a property in west London on Sunday morning, The Telegraph reported.Metropolitan Police officers were called to Uxbridge Road in Hayes shortly before 8am, where they found the woman suffering from stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.The injured man was discovered outside the property with stab wounds and taken to the hospital. Police said he had also sustained injuries believed to have been caused by jumping from a window.A 44-year-old man is in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of murder and possessing a bladed article in a public place.Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo described the incident as a tragic case that had left one person dead and another seriously injured. He said specialist officers are supporting the victims’ families.Police said the investigation is still at an early stage, but there is currently no indication of any wider risk to the public. Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and said an increased police presence will remain in the area over the coming days.
