Highlighting India’s innovation ecosystem, the Prime Minister said the country has become the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem over the past decade. He also pointed to India’s growing space ambitions, noting that an Indian private space startup is preparing to launch a satellite using its own rocket for the first time.

Modi also underscored India’s rapid advances in digital infrastructure, saying the country has emerged as the world’s second-largest 5G market and is now working on developing indigenous Made in India 6G technology.

On urban transport, the Prime Minister said India’s metro network has expanded to more than two dozen cities over the last 12 years. More than 12.5 million people now use metro services every day, making India home to the world’s third-largest metro rail network.

He added that the government is also accelerating the rollout of semi-high-speed rail systems, including the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail and Vande Bharat trains, to modernise the country’s transport infrastructure.

Speaking about India’s long-term economic vision, Modi said the country aims to become one of the world’s top three economies at the earliest.

“We aspire to become one of the world’s top three economies as soon as possible, driven by the motto ‘Grow more, achieve more,’” he said.
