England's Playing XI vs India in 3rd T20I: Hosts retain winning combination

NEW DELHI: England have named an unchanged playing XI for the third T20I against India at Trent Bridge on Tuesday. Harry Brook’s side goes into the match with a 1-0 lead in the five-match series after beating India by four wickets at Old Trafford. The opening T20I was washed out due to rain.

England eye another win

England chased down 191 in the second T20I despite a poor start. Arshdeep Singh removed Phil Salt and Jos Buttler for ducks in the opening over to leave the hosts reeling at 1/2.Captain Brook hit a quickfire 39 off just 12 balls before Jacob Bethell and Tom Banton rebuilt the innings with a crucial partnership. Banton scored 39, while Bethell stayed unbeaten on 76 off 46 balls, hitting five fours and five sixes.India fought back through Arshdeep and Varun Chakaravarthy, but Bethell turned the match in England’s favour by taking 29 runs off a Ravi Bishnoi over. He later finished the chase alongside Jofra Archer with six balls to spare.England announced an unchanged playing XI for the third T20I at Trent Bridge.
