Amitabh Bachchan , Jaya Bachchan and their son Abhishek attended the wedding reception of their Managing Director Rajesh Yadav’s son in Mumbai. Aishwarya Rai was missing from the event leading to chatter online. But soon after, photos of Aishwarya and Abhishek at the wedding reception of director Ashutosh Gowariker’s son Konark went viral. The couple twinned in white as they joined the celebrations with Aamir Khan, Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, Gracy Singh, Chunky Panday, Deepak Tijori and the families of the newlyweds Konark and Niyati.
Abhishek and Aishwarya have worked with Gowariker in the past, though not together. The director’s films Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey and Jodhaa Akbar featured the actors in the leading roles respectively.
Many noticed how Aishwarya did not attend the wedding of Rikin Yadav and Surabhi in Mumbai with the Bachchan family but instead chose to make a joint appearance with Abhishek at the director’s son’s wedding. Rumours of a rift in the family have been ongoing for the past year but Aish and Abhi continue to silence the speculation surrounding their marriage subtly. The wedding reception of Konark and Niyati turned star-studded with the Bollywood couple in attendance. They were snapped candid and in album photos with the families and the newlyweds.
Aishwarya and Abhishek met ISKCON’s Harinam Das at the wedding reception. The images show Abhishek greeting him with folded hands, with Aishwarya standing next to her husband, smiling gently. She was also snapped separately with the spiritual guru exchanging some words.
At Rikin Yadav and Surabhi’s wedding, however, the Bachchan family members were snapped without Aishwarya.
In photos with the family, Jaya Bachchan looked elegant in a pink silk saree. Amitabh Bachchan donned a grey kurta-pyjama paired with a black embroidered jacket. Abhishek Bachchan kept it classy in a white kurta-pyjama, complementing the family’s looks. The trio posed for a heartwarming photographs with the newlyweds and their families.
