Shubman Gill continued his trend of dropping viral post-match captions after Gujarat Titans completed a dominant league double over Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2026.GT sealed a crushing win over CSK in Ahmedabad on May 21 to officially knock the five-time champions out of the playoff race while also confirming their own top-two finish. Gujarat wrapped up the league stage with nine wins and five defeats from 14 matches. This was the second time this season that Gill and GT outclassed Chennai. The rivalry had already produced one viral moment earlier in the campaign when Gujarat defeated CSK at Chepauk on April 26.In that first meeting, GT’s bowling attack completely strangled Chennai after opting to field first. Kagiso Rabada starred with a fiery spell of 3/25 in the powerplay as CSK managed only 158/7. GT chased the target comfortably with Sai Sudharsan smashing a brilliant 87 off 46 balls to guide the visitors home with 20 balls remaining. After that famous win in Chennai, Gill grabbed attention on social media by posting a picture holding a whistle with the caption: “Nandri Chennai.”The Gujarat skipper revived the banter after GT once again dismantled CSK in the reverse fixture at the Narendra Modi Stadium.Batting first, GT’s top order unleashed carnage as Gill hammered 64 off 37 balls while Sai Sudharsan continued his sensational form with 84 off 53 deliveries. Jos Buttler then provided the finishing touch with a blazing unbeaten 57 off just 23 balls to power Gujarat to 229/4.CSK’s chase never recovered after Mohammed Siraj ripped through the top order, dismissing Sanju Samson for a duck and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad cheaply. Despite a quickfire 47 off 17 from Shivam Dube, CSK were bowled out for just 140 in 13.4 overs as Rashid Khan and Rabada cleaned up the innings.Following the emphatic victory, Gill once again stole the spotlight online with another cheeky caption directed at CSK. Posting after the win, the GT skipper wrote: “Nandri 2 Yellow lights, blue ending.”
