Bipasha Basu Shares Cryptic Post After Mika Singh’s ‘Out Of Work’ Jibe: Toxic People Shift Blame

Mika Singh collaborated with Bipasha Basu in the 2020 series Dangerous, but had a bitter experience during the shoot. In a new interview, the singer detailed the troubles he faced during the project. Days after his confessions, the actress took to her Instagram account to pen a note about ‘toxic people’ and people who ‘avoid taking responsibility’.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Mika Singh revealed that he turned producer with the MX Original Dangerous and wanted to start small with a low-budget production. However, he claimed that Bipasha coming on board the project increased the budget multifold and even then her starry tantrums became a roadblock. He argued that it is the attitude problem that has led to her sitting idle at home, ‘out of work’.

The singer shared, “Why do you think they’re out of work now? God is watching everything. I liked Karan a lot and wanted to produce a low-budget film—around ₹4 crore.” Mika Singh explained, “I was considering another actress, but she wanted to be a part of it. The shoot was set in London, and the budget increased from ₹4 crore to ₹14 crore… And the drama created by Bipasha ensured that I would always regret getting into production. It was a team she was comfortable with, and they were playing a couple, who had to feature in kissing scenes. Suddenly, she was throwing tantrums saying she won’t do this or she won’t do that, etc.” He added, “Someone always had a sore throat. If it was Bipasha who was sick at one time, it was Karan at another”.

Bipasha Basu has not reacted to Singh’s comment directly. Though without addressing the controversy directly, the actress, on the morning of March 2 took to her Instagram account to share a cryptic note. She shared a quote that read, “Toxic people create chaos, point fingers, shift blame, and avoid taking responsibility.” She added her own caption: “Stay away from toxicity & negativity. God Bless All. Durga Durga.” The note is now viral online.
