Mitchell Marsh scored his second IPL century during Lucknow Super Giants’s match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2026 match at Ekana Cricket Stadium on Thursday, May 7.Marsh reached the milestone in 49 balls, making it the fastest century by an LSG batter in IPL history. He went past Rishabh Pant’s 54-ball hundred against RCB at the same venue in IPL 2025.The Australian opener got to his hundred by hitting an attempted yorker from Romario Shepherd through the off-side for a boundary.Century for LSG vs RCB in IPL

Marsh was was dismissed by Hazlewood for 111 off 56 balls.Marsh attacked the RCB bowlers from the start and continued scoring freely despite two rain interruptions during the match.He began with a straight six off Josh Hazlewood before hitting Bhuvneshwar Kumar over cover for another six. Once the spinners came into the attack, Marsh took on Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma with shots over the boundary and cuts through the off-side.At the other end, Arshin Kulkarni struggled for timing while Marsh continued scoring quickly. He reached his fifty in 20 balls, his fastest IPL half-century.Marsh also attacked Rasikh Salam and Hazlewood with drives and pull shots. Even yorkers from Hazlewood and Shepherd could not slow him down as he completed his century with a boundary through point off Shepherd.After reaching the landmark, Marsh removed his helmet and raised his bat to acknowledge the crowd.
