Virat Kohli named in Delhi's Ranji Trophy squad, no Rishabh Pant; Ayush Badoni to remain captain

NEW DELHI: Star India batter Virat Kohli was on Monday named in the Delhi squad for the side’s last Ranji Trophy league game against Railways, which will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the national capital from January 30.
Ayush Badoni will continue to lead the side while swashbuckling Rishabh Pant will not be featuring in the contest.

There are no major changes in the Delhi squad barring the Kohli inclusion.
Kohli, who is making a Ranji comeback after more than 12 years, will begin training with the Delhi squad from January 28 at the Arun Jaitley stadium.
Earlier, the 36-year-old was seen training with former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar in Mumbai ahead of his return to domestic cricket.
Kohli has been struggling with the bat, scoring just 190 runs in 9 innings Border-Gavaskar Trophy Down Under.
His national team colleagues Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Ravindra Jadeja were previously seen featuring in the domestic matches for their respective states after their return from Australia.

Delhi currently sit at the sixth spot in Group D with just 1 win in 6 games. Railways, on the other hand, are at fourth spot in the group with 2 wins in as many matches.
