CCTV captures chaos at Iran hospitals amid strikes; patients and staff seen scrambling

Surveillance footage from the early days of the war shows chaotic scenes inside hospitals in Tehran as air strikes hit nearby areas.Video, released by the Iranian Red Crescent Society recently, captures medical staff scrambling to evacuate patients during the bombardment. In one clip, a nurse is seen carrying three newborn babies to safety, while in another, a baby is rushed into an ambulance moments after birth. Staff are also seen placing infants in fruit baskets to move them quickly out of danger.The Iran conflict has been going since US-Israel launched Operation Epic Fury on Feb 28. Since then, tensions have escalated sharply across the Strait of Hormuz and wider Persian Gulf region, with near-total disruption of oil shipments and repeated naval confrontations. In the latest developments, US President Donald Trump ordered military action against Iranian small boats and intensified mine-clearing operations in the Strait, further raising fears of escalation. The US also seized another tanker linked to Iranian oil smuggling, while Iran reportedly captured two cargo ships in response, deepening maritime chaos in the region. Diplomatic efforts remain fragile, with Trump announcing a temporary extension of a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah after White House talks, even as hostilities continue. Meanwhile, Iran maintains that its leadership is united despite US claims of internal divisions.
