Oscars 2025: What Winners Can Expect To Take Home From The 97th Academy Awards?

Oscars 2025: The prestigious red carpet is all set to be rolled out at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles as Hollywood prepares for its biggest awards night. The 97th Academy Awards will be honoured on March 3 (IST) in 23 categories, ranging from Best Film, Best Actor to Best Director, Best Hairstyling, Best Costume Design and much more. But what will the winners get in the forthcoming Oscars? Find out.

As per reports, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) does not provide monetary rewards to Oscar winners. The iconic gold-plated statue, standing 13.5 inches tall and weighing around 8.5 pounds, has a material value of approximately 400 euros. However, its symbolic worth is priceless.

Although there is no cash prize, winning an Oscar can dramatically boost the earning potential of actors, directors, and other film professionals.

Nominees in major categories also receive extravagant gift bags from marketing companies such as Distinctive Assets. These bags, unrelated to the Oscars themselves, include luxury items, holidays, and exclusive experiences worth over $100. Reports suggest that this year’s selection features three luxury vacations, a $50,000 Swiss chalet retreat, and a three-night stay at Saint-Barth Paradise in the Caribbean. While these gifts cannot match the honour of winning, they provide a lavish consolation for those who do not secure the award.

The Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, March 3 (IST), at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The show, to be broadcast live by ABC, is scheduled to begin at 5 am with the red carpet.

In a first, the Oscars will be streamed live on Hulu. You can also watch via Hulu Live TV, YouTubeTV, AT&T TV and FuboTV. In India, the event will also be streaming on JioHotstar. Conan O’Brien is hosting the Academy Awards for the first time.
