Former Miss World Manushi Chhillar joins the Republic Youth Summit: ‘To The Yuva, From The Yuva. Tehran actress shared her journey of transitioning from a medical student to winning the Miss World title and now entrepreneurship. She spoke about her entry into Bollywood and the challenges that came with it.

Manushi Chillar told the Republic Youth Summit that she was studying medicine when she decided to go into modeling. Bade Miya Chote Miya actress revealed that she realised her ambition and the value of the Miss World platform at the age of 14. She also mentioned that becoming an actor was never part of her plan. She quoted, “Where I come from growing up, you either become an engineer, doctor, or lawyer. I remember my relative telling me, Koi baat nahi beta, kuch nahi hua to graduation ke baad IAS ki tayari kar lena. So, those were the options I worked with—acting was never one of them.” She added, “Acting pretty much happened after winning Miss World.”

Reflecting on her decision to participate in Miss World, Manushi said, “I went to Miss World thinking it was a great platform and a great experience, and then let’s see what happens. That eventually brought me opportunities in acting.”

However, Manushi Chillar has not completely left the medical field. She has started a small clinic of regenerative medicine. Not only this, Manushi is also an entrepreneur along with being a model and actor.  During the conversation, Manushi Chillar said- “You have to work hard. You have to be persistent. It takes time for the results to come.”
She has a brand of beachwear. Regarding her brand, the actress said that she has always been interested in fashion. She likes to go to the beach, so she thought that there should be a brand for it. People in India like to go to the beach, so the idea of ​​beachwear came to her mind.
