NEW DELHI: Rajasthan Royals’ young opening pair, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, created history during their IPL clash against Gujarat Titans with a record-breaking partnership milestone on Saturday. The duo, already in great form, needed just a couple of deliveries to achieve something special and didn’t disappoint.Jaiswal and Sooryavanshi became the fastest Indian pair to reach 500 partnership runs in IPL history in terms of balls faced.

Before the match, they were just three runs short, sitting at 497 runs off 246 balls. It took them only two more deliveries to cross the 500-run mark, setting a new benchmark.They broke the previous record held by Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir, who had reached the same milestone in 309 balls. This achievement highlighted the aggressive and consistent approach of the Rajasthan openers this season.Earlier, Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag won the toss and chose to bat first. Gujarat Titans were without their regular skipper Shubman Gill, who missed the game due to a muscle spasm, with Rashid Khan stepping in as captain. Kumar Kushagra came in as Gill’s replacement.Rajasthan made two changes to their lineup, bringing in Tushar Deshpande and Shubham Dubey.
