India squad for New Zealand ODIs: Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya likely to be rested

MUMBAI: Ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah and allrounder Hardik Pandya are likely to be rested from the upcoming home ODI series against New Zealand in order to keep the duo fresh for the T20 World Cup in Feb-March. The Indian white-ball squad for the three-match ODI series (beginning Jan 11) and the T20I series will be picked on either Jan 3 or 4,” a source told TOI.ALSO READ: Dhruv Jurel knocks loudly on ODI doorMeanwhile, TOI has learnt that there is a possibility that wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant could be left out of the squad for the ODI series. If Pant is dropped, Ishan Kishan will be the frontrunner for an ODI recall after more than two years.
